It is very apparent that David has a love for Christ and kids.  David accepted Christ as his Savior at a church camp when he was 13, and he surrendered to the ministry at Youth Alive in the summer of 2008.

Youth Alive was an eye and heart opening experience for David.  He always talks about knowing that God had a call on his life, but never having the faith to surrender.  Since he has surrendered he has enjoyed every moment of being the Senior High Youth Pastor and he always talks about having no regrets, except not doing it sooner.  David feels an enormous burden for our youth because he understands the pressures they face every day and he wants them to be equipped to take up their cross daily and follow Christ.

David grew up in Aledo.  He attended Aledo ISD from Kindergarten through the 12th grade.  He started dating his wife, Crystal, at Aledo High School at the beginning of his senior year.  They have attended WPBC together since they first met and married there on August 9, 2003.  Two years and one day later on August 10, 2005 they had their son Hagen Dow.  David and his wife Crystal had their second child, Elizabeth Lauren on December 6, 2009.

David loves high school sports, especially football and baseball.  He also enjoys hunting and fishing with his Dad and Brother.   David is extremely close with his entire family.  He is the oldest of three children, he has a younger sister Lauren and a younger brother Caleb.  His parents, Larry and Donna Cobb are also members of WPBC, and his favorite thing about everyone being at church at the same time is “packing a pew”.
